A 5K (3.1 miles). Be part of the energy and excitement while getting in your exercise for the day! If a 5K is your ‘cup of tea’ then this is the event for you! As many folks as possible should experience the energy and excitement of the H-E-B Alamo Run Fest so we’ve also included a 5K, a 3.1 mile run/walk. Starting at the Alamodome you’ll really enjoy this course
with a fluid replenishment station along
the way. And just like with every other
participant in the H-E-B Alamo Run Fest,
everyone is a champion for just stepping
up to the starting line!

For safety reasons and the fact that USATF insurance does not cover bicycles, skateboards, scooters, pets, roller skates, inline skates or roller blades, they will NOT be permitted on the course. Baby joggers and strollers will be allowed however you will be asked to start at the back of the 'pack', insure your child is secured in your stroller/jogger and not run/walk with others in such a way as to impede other participants on the course.
The Alamo 5K course will remain open for 1 hour and 30 minutes, from when the last runner has crossed the START line during the Official Start. If a portion of the course overlaps with any of the end sections of the Alamo Half or Alamo 10,000, that section of the 5K course may remain open longer than other non-overlapping sections. The rolling closure of the non-overlapping sections of the course is based on an approximate pace of 25 minutes per mile.
Entry fees are non-refundable.
